Mohamad Ballout

Mohamad Ballout is an entrepreneur who co-founded the managed cloud-kitchen company Kitopi in 2018 and serves as its CEO. Earlier he founded the confectionery and snacks maker BMB Group in 2007, scaling it across more than thirty markets before selling his shares in 2016. He co-founded Kitopi to address inefficiencies in food delivery through a tech-enabled, multi-brand restaurant ecosystem, and led it to unicorn status.

Achievements

• Co-founded Kitopi in 2018 and leads it as CEO.
• Led a $415M Series C round led by SoftBank's Vision Fund 2 in 2021, making Kitopi the first UAE-headquartered company backed by the fund and reaching unicorn status.
