What each badge means

Every badge on Matjar states one specific thing we checked, and tapping it brings you here. This is what each one means — and what it does not.

Commercial registration confirmed

What we checked: The merchant entered their commercial registration number in their store settings, and a member of the Matjar team reviewed the number by hand and confirmed it before this badge appeared. The number is not shown to customers.
What it does not mean: This is a manual review by our team, not an automated lookup in the official registry. It does not mean we vouch for the quality of the goods or the service.

Verified licence or certificate

What we checked: The merchant uploaded a document — a licence, certificate, accreditation or award — and the Matjar team opened it, followed its verification link when there was one, and approved it. The badge appears only when at least one document has been approved. Documents not yet reviewed appear on the store page marked "not reviewed".
What it does not mean: We review the document itself; we do not contact the body that issued it. An expired document is marked "expired". The badge does not mean we vouch for the work.

Account reviewed by the Matjar team

What we checked: In the crafts and freelance sections, this badge is awarded only after a member of the Matjar team has reviewed the account and the services on it by hand and confirmed it. Nobody can award it to themselves.
What it does not mean: The app does not collect an official ID document, so the badge means a review by our team, not a government identity check. It does not mean we vouch for their work.

The Pro badge

Pro means the merchant subscribes to a paid plan that gives their store extra features. It is a plan they buy, not a certificate from us.

A subscription awards no verification badge. Every verification badge above is awarded only after a review by our team, and no plan buys it.

Returns & complaints

Since orders happen directly between you and the store (cash on delivery), returns and exchanges are arranged directly with the store. If you face an issue that isn't resolved, contact us and we'll step in to help both sides reach a fair solution.
