Hind Hobeika

About

Hind Hobeika is a Lebanese wearable-technology entrepreneur and the founder of Instabeat. She studied mechanical engineering at the American University of Beirut and was a competitive swimmer, and from that passion came the idea for a device that clips onto swim goggles to track heart rate and performance in real time. She developed the product and launched a 2013 Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that was among the first successful campaigns from the Middle East.

Achievements

• Founded Instabeat, developing a real-time bio-feedback device for swimmers.
